Appearance

A tall man who never seems quite so tall or quite so imposing for the way he is almost perpetually slouched or with a jut of the hip or a heavy lean on a leg. Messy flyaway red-purple hair and gold eyes, a short shadow growth of stubble, irregular mis matched fashion as of Invidia--he chose it all himself. Unfortunately. As an Executor in battle, he appears to become more regal with longer hair and more confidence with a white theme.

Powers & Abilities

Weapon: Ardyn wields a big ol' fuckoff scythe, ornate and glowing pink. I mean it's big. It's easily three times his height.

Armiger: He now has better and more precise control over the size, shape, and appearance of his weapon. Though it'll retain the pink glow, it can be resized for convenience, and change shape into any weapon he's seen used. However, they do not retain any special properties of said weapon.

Healing: Touch-based healing that does not work on himself. Able to heal major wounds such as internal injuries, major breaks, etc, and staunch the loss of pneuma. In battle, can heal 2 points of durability, three times per battle, that cannot be used consecutively.

Draining: A subset of healing but I'm putting it in its own thing so sue me. Also touch-based, wherein he can drain the life from a being to either heal himself or bestow that lifeforce on another. In battle, drains 2 durability and restores as much, also cannot be used consecutively, also shares the three times a battle pool with regular healing.

Warping: Nigh-instantaneous movement over a max of 10 feet that leaves a red-pink afterimage of himself where he stood before. Outside of battle, he can use it 2-3 times consecutively before needing to collapse into a pile of old bones rest. In battle, it counts as a free extra Movement to dodge or move the same distance and can only be used twice in battle before needing to rest. Upgrade here, bc I'm getting lazy and i'll update the text here later shut up

Memoria

Aera: He remembers a woman, remembers her beauty and her grace and enthusiasm, remembers that he was terribly in love with her--Aera. The knowledge and memory brings him peace, and he presumes that if he were a king, then she would certainly have been his queen. He does not recall what, if anything, became of her.

10 Years of Ruin: He recalls a ruined modern city and the bleak monsters that freely roamed it. A desecrated throne room he seems to have called his own, spending much time upon the throne, though so much had been laid to waste. People, on rare occasion, seemingly on some kind of mission, who would retreat back underground when the going got too rough. A constantly moonless, starless night where days and nights passed without meaning or much number to him. The monsters would pay him no mind when he walked the deserted streets. He gets the impression of waiting or looking for something. If he was a king, it was surely one of death and decay.

Altissia: He recollects a city on the sea, where there was to be a wedding- maybe? Look, a lot happens. Speaking to a man, a brother, with a metal arm; a speech from a woman who looks like she could be a relative of Aera's; the awakening of Leviathan; epic sea battle of gods and airships and men alike; killing Lady Lunafreya; having a lot of fun with Phoenix, whose scars came from a ring of power, trying to protect the prince Chiron seems to loathe. It's a lot. He's realizing that his worst fears are true...good gods, he was not a good person.

Somnus: His dear baby brother. An inquisitive and often serious brat who stuck to Chiron's side growing up, doing practically everything together until they were old enough to form their own opinions on things. Frequently had debates over everything and anything while playing chess. It's made clearer in his next memory, but he's given the impression that if they were not necessarily royalty or princes, they were at least very well to do highborns. He loves/ed his brother but knows that they have very different styles of taking care of things--Chiron the more compassionate, and Somnus the harder and more militaristic. It's gotten to the point where Chiron doesn't go home if he can help it, and Somnus is someone who hunts his ass for Reasons.

The Sage: Oh look it's Reasons. Chiron was granted a very special gift by the Astrals, the gods of Eos, to heal those afflicted with the dread plague Starscourge--a daemonic disease that otherwise has no known cure. Though he had kept it a secret from others, he's aware that his form of healing meant inviting the smoky, pneuma-like substance into himself, and thus now occasionally takes on a gruesome and frightening appearance while in Purgatory. He preached to whoever would listen that Starscourge is a disease, and that those with it deserve compassion as a human being, not for a whole village to be burnt to ash in Somnus' scorched earth policy of a quarantine. This meant that people began to follow him and suggest that he be their king, something he had little interest in pursuing, rather than Somnus.

2000 Years Of Darkness: what it says on the tin, 2000 years hung up on giant fuckin meathooks in complete darkness with nothing but his own thoughts unskippable cutscene

Verstael Besithia: ...and then he was "rescued" by a crazed Niflheim scientist, bent on war with what became for Chiron's old homeland, and running experiments on his latest acquisition. Obsessed with daemons and the power held within a depressed and unsettled but not wholly angry Chiron, man out of time with no plausible way to die.
